Daily Deviation

Given 2014-05-27
The suggester says, "The costume, make up and cosplayer's expression are perfect, and the pose looks straight out of the movie. The dark sky adds the perfect atmosphere for this tragic character." Wonderful work, down to the tiniest of details.

Looks amazing, love the atmosphere and mood even though I thought the play was much better than the movie :p.

I am a fan of the play as well :D I love the classic one with Angela Lansbury and I watched another amazing recent version in theatre in London, with Imelda Staunton and Michael Ball. Just stunning :)

The Sweeney movie is much more dark where as the theatrical play is dark humor. I personally prefer the humor haha. Then again I believe that musicals are SOOO much better than the filmed versions. I mean, phantom, really, the theatrical production is at least 100x times better than the "movie". At least, I believe so :D.

I agree with you! I mean, I loved the Sweeney Todd movie because I love Tim Burton's dark style and Johnny and Helena, but the emotion that theatre gives you is unreplaceable. I absolutely LOVE the phantom of the Opera and I absolutely agree with you about the movie (which I loved, but the West End version live in theatre was SO much better). The red death costume of the Phantom will be one of my next cosplays (shhh, don't tell anybody! ahah)

Definitely, the dark style is lovely, but seeing it live is just... breathtaking. Phantom of the Opera is ahhhhhhhhhh so good :D. Live is just amazing, I particularly like John Owen Jones as the phantom, his voice is so angelic. And haha, that cosplay :D, that would be really cool to see ^^.

Oh my god, you are so much like me it's starting to be scary! Ahah John Owen Jones is my favourite phantom ever! I can't believe it! When I saw him live he just took my breath away. Such a deep and sensitive Phantom.
